All ages. The Shabbat Game was created to help students understand that Shabbat is more than Friday night dinner. The eleven-step game asks kids to work on brainstorming activities and participate in Shabbat rituals, from Friday night candle lighting to Havdalah.
The Shabbat Game is played in teams of no more than twelve students. Each team moves through the eleven brainstorming and Shabbat activities. For each step, the team gets a question, asking team members to brainstorm answers to the questions. Once completed, teams move to a variety of ritual and experiential activities.
The game includes a full-color game board to tracking team progress, brainstorming questions, blessings and other study sheets for activities, and a guide for madrikhim.
