Important Shipping Update: Warehouse Transition
Unfortunately, the warehouse we've partnered with for years has decided to close its doors. This means we're in the middle of an exciting, but challenging, transition!

Adult: L’Shon ha-Kodesh: A Beginning Hebrew Book for Adults is a text designed to teach Hebrew decoding skills to adults. This ten-lesson volume uses an active Jewish Hebrew and siddur vocabulary to give adult learners the tools to be successful Hebrew readers. Students are carefully introduced to the consonants and vowels of the Hebrew alphabet. The goals include developing the reader’s ability to decode Hebrew as well as grounding learners in the broader use of Hebrew in Jewish life, ritual, and study, It also provides guidance and practice reading passages from the Torah, Siddur, Haftarah, and other related texts. Students build a strong foundation for their Hebrew reading skills through this approach.
Along the journey, students are introduced to root words as well as siddur words and phrases.
- Consonants and vowels: Students will learn the Hebrew alphabet and how to pronounce the consonants and vowels.
- Root words: Students will learn about Hebrew root words and how they are used to form new words.
- Siddur words and phrases: Students will learn critical Hebrew words and phrases used in the Siddur (Jewish prayer book).
- Passages from the Torah, Siddur, Haftarah, and other related texts: Students will practice reading passages from important Jewish texts.
