Stories We Live By: Unworthy Human Beings offers students an opportunity to study the importance of living in peace. In the story, Alexander the Great conquers a nation and is confronted by their king. Their king shows Alexander a model of local justice and then confronts the brutality of his process of conquest, suggesting that people were meant to live peaceably together.
