The Stories We Live By: Kamtza and Bar Kamtza lesson offers students an opportunity to understand the harm that can be done when one acts from a feeling of sinat hinam, (groundless hatred). In the story, a man instructs his servant to invite his friend, Kamtza, to a party. The servant mistakenly invites Bar Kamtza, an enemy of the host instead, and anger ensues.
