To make a seder “kosher,” the only things that need to be recited are the pesah, matzah and maror sections in the Haggadah. Of course, this is recited in addition to the other steps in the Haggadah. Throughout the years families have created their own customs and rituals for the seder, such as having everyone who comes to the seder bring a suitcase with items they would bring if they were told to leave their home, reciting the seder while sitting on the ground or doing the seder all in rhyming English. In addition to these, some people have begun to add a Miriam's cup to the seder place to put an orange on the seder plate.
