TORAH AURA PRODUCTIONS 800-BE-TORAH
Grades: 5-6 The Whole-School Holiday lessons make up a spiral curriculum, in which each lesson focuses on a different aspect of Jewish holiday, value, or key subject. With some exceptions, Whole School Holiday lessons are built around a matrix that allows students to have an unique experience each year.
Foods are an integral part of a Jewish holiday celebration. It is a mitzvah to eat a meal, called a se'udah, after a celebration. On Rosh ha-Shanah, and even on Yom Kippur, food is there to help us welcome in a new year. In this lesson students will learn about food rituals and the food associated with these holidays. Includes recipes.
