  • Grades: 6-Adult      Content of Their Character lessons offer students a definition and text study of Jewish values with practical applications. Each of these lesson folders contains material for three to four forty-five-minute classroom sessions.

The Jewish concept of shalom has little to do with the barren notion of peace as simply the absence of war, as though warfare is something positive and peace its negation. Rather, the idea behind shalom is shelmut or “wholeness.” It is an active and creative principle, demanding, continuing and self-renewing.
