Grades: 1-3 BJL Synagogue looks at the synagogue as a dynamic place. Its central focus is the model of synagogue as including three basic functions—a beit tefillah (a house of prayer), a beit midrash (a house of study) and a beit k'nesset (a house of gathering).
The Torah us one of the greatest gifts we have received from God. It tells us the story of our past and how to get closer to God. In this lesson the students will be learning more about the Torah and how we show respect to the Torah.
